Sawn-Bed Split-Face Stone

Sawn-bed split-face stone is sawn on the tops and sides, but split on the face. This stone is very regular in color and size, and is used as a veneer in wet-laid applications. They normally come in 7-1/2", 5", and 2-1/2" sizes, but may come in other sizes on order. Front to back, each piece is about 3". This stone works well for wall faces, columns, and freestanding walls. One local example of this stone veneer is on the walls and columns along Denison Ave. on the west side of the Kansas State University gardens.
