IRRIGATION MAINTENANCE SERVICES

Master Landscape is now offering the following yearly irrigation service contract to all irrigation customers which includes the following:

 

  • Spring turn-on and activation of your system.  This will usually be done sometime in March.  If we have access to the clock we will check all zones for proper operation and adjust the heads.
  • Annual Cross-Connection/Backflow testing, conducted as required by the city of Manhattan. All of our irrigation technicians are licensed to test any backflow in the state of Kansas. We will deliver proof of this test to the city of Manhattan as well as retain copies in our office. If your device does not pass inspection, we will contact you regarding repair options and prices. We recommend doing this when your system is turned on in the spring.
  • Mid-season Inspection.  This will require access to the controller.  At this time we will turn on each zone to check for proper operation and adjust heads for maximum efficiency.  We recommend that most homeowners set the irrigation clock themselves, but we would be glad to help anyone who requests additional assistance.
  • Turn-off & Winterization.  This is generally done sometime after late October.  Systems with exposed above-ground backflow devices will be done first.  We will conduct a compressed air blow out on systems that require doing so.  We will also turn off the clock if we have access to it, otherwise homeowners may turn it off at their convenience.

 

We would also like to ask for your cooperation in helping to keep down the cost of repairs.  To do this, we will schedule repairs on Fridays only except for emergencies.  By grouping repairs, we expect to restrict the costs and pass this savings on to our customers by maintaining our competitive pricing.  Emergencies will be responded to as quickly as possible and can be reported by calling the emergency numbers listed on the voice mail at the Master Landscape office (785-539-2842).
