4-STEP SYNTHETIC LAWN CARE PROGRAM

 

  • Step One:  Applied in March*, this includes fertilization with one pound of nitrogen per 1000 square feet, a pre-emergent herbicide to control crabgrass, and a broad-leaf weed herbicide.
  • Step Two:  Applied in May*, this includes fertilization with ¾ lb. of nitrogen per 1000 square feet, an insecticide to control grub worms, and a spot application of broadleaf herbicide.
  • Step Three:  Applied from late August through late September*, this includes fertilization with one pound of nitrogen per 1000 square feet, as well as iron.
  • Step Four:  Applied from mid-October through mid-November*, this includes fertilization with 1 and ½ lb. of nitrogen per 1000 square feet and an application of a broad-leaf herbicide.

 

*Application dates vary due to growing conditions. Applications are timed with the weather to meet the demands of the turf and to have the greatest impact in preventing insects and weeds.
